The Worker of the 21st Century
by Sotiris Papanikolaou
This work attempts to focus and illustrate all those who bear the weight of social building, those
who are the first to pay for the dark needs of advanced societies. Those who built mega cities, who
produce in industry and who gather its waste. Those who – as a reserve army of workers
(the unemployed) – keep prices low and who are available for any low-paid work.
Clear and explicit in the representation of social truth, stranded, away from public view as a collective
unconscious, as the guilty conscience of the “advanced”, “modern” world.
